Frequently Asked Questions
You know, these are some great questions. We want to make sure you feel totally comfortable and know what to expect.
1. How long can I stay at Soul Housing?
That really comes down to your own recovery journey and what your program eligibility allows, you know? Most of our residents are here for a shorter, necessary amount of time. They’re usually getting stable, finishing up medical recovery, or just getting everything lined up for their permanent housing move. Our team will absolutely sit down with you to hash out a plan that makes the most sense for what you need to achieve.
2. Do I need a medical referral to be accepted?
“Yes, Soul Housing can only accept participants referred by a hospital, clinic, or managed care plan. We work extremely closely with local hospitals, clinics, and case managers, which is important because it makes sure everyone is discharged safely and that we have your care coordinated correctly from day one. But hey, if you are unsure about the process, truly, just give us a call. We can help you figure out what your best next step should be.
3. Are meals and basic needs included?
Absolutely, that is totally included. Every single person who stays with us gets three nutritious meals every day, clean bedding, laundry delivery, and all those other basic necessities, all at no cost to you. Our main goal is for you to feel completely cared for so you can just focus all your energy on healing and getting better.
4. Is medical care provided on-site?
We are not a medical facility, but our staff works very hard to coordinate everything with licensed healthcare professionals and case managers. We are here to help you stay on track with your medications, get to your follow-up appointments, and meet the stability and recovery goals you have set.
5. What happens after my stay ends?
Before discharge, we share information with your care team to help identify available community or housing resources. Placement after discharge depends on your managed care plan and local resources. We do everything in our power to help you as you take the next step of your care journey, because we truly want to see you succeed after you move on!
